Socio-emotional Learning through Sport

Sport is a fun and engaging way for students to learn and develop various socio-emotional skills (SE) such as teamwork, communication, self-regulation, empathy, and leadership.

Our project Socio-emotional Learning through Sport aims to integrate socio-emotional skills in sports classes for all students. The materials developed throughout the project will be aimed at primary teachers (1st-4th grade), elementary teachers, and PE teachers.

We will develop a series of video lessons for teachers, which will present them with different methods and approaches to integrate socio-emotional skills in Physical Education classes. The video lessons will be available to watch online at a convenient time for teachers.

We will also create a detailed guide that schools can use to plan and organise effective sports days integrating socio-emotional skill learning in the sports activities.
